Any fan of FOX’s “The X Factor” will remember Tara Simon, a Top 24 finalist on Season 2. She didn’t go all the way on the show, but her career as a singer and singing coach couldn’t be going better.
Simon is a Florida native who’s been singing since she learned to talk. After performing all over the world, Simon gained major exposure on “The X Factor,” during which judge Simon Cowell praised her vocals. The singer gained a reputation for being a bit of a “diva” on the show, but Simon says her real passion is passing on her love of music to young singers. She stays busy giving voice lessons to aspiring singers right here in Georgia, and is about to hit another major milestone.
Now, Simon is opening her very own storefront in Smyrna — a place where she can grow her business of teaching music/voice. Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken — definitely not a vocal student — went to hang out with Simon to find out what it takes to make it in the music business.
